AFTER ALL Guitarist To Host Metal Show On Belgian National Radio
October 7, 2006Beginning on October 10, AFTER ALL guitarist Dries Van Damme will be hosting "Whiplash", a weekly metal show on Belgian national radio Studio Brussel. "Whiplash" airs every Tuesday night at 11 p.m. The show is also available for listening online the station's official web site.
In other news, AFTER ALL's track "Frozen Skin" — which is included on the group's new album, "This Violent Decline" — is featured on the free CD that comes with the September edition of Rock Tribune magazine, available now in Belgium and Holland. Other bands on the CD include JON OLIVA'S PAIN, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY and HATEBREED.
To celebrate the successful release of AFTER ALL's new album, "This Violent Decline", the band will play a special show in hometown Brugge, Belgium on November 17. The group is preparing an extra-long set, mainly built around the new songs, but also including some old tracks that haven't been played live in a long, long time. Support at the concert will come from RAFFLESIA and OMERTA, up-and-coming metal talent from Brugge.
The follow-up to last year's "The Vermin Breed", "This Violent Decline" was recorded by Dee J. at Hype Studio in Mechelen, Belgium and was mixed by Fredrik Nordström (IN FLAMES, ARCH ENEMY, SOILWORK) at Studio Fredman in Göteborg, Sweden. Tue Madsen (THE HAUNTED, HATESPHERE) took care of the mastering at Antfarm Studio in Aabyhoj, Denmark.
"This Violent Decline" contains 11 tracks, including a re-recorded version of "Blind Euphoria" (from the 1992 EP "Dusk"). As a bonus track, the album features a video clip for the track "Frozen Skin". Samples of the new album are available on AFTER ALL's MySpace page.
